Why End of Tenancy Cleaning Matters
One of the most common reasons tenants lose part or all of their deposit is inadequate cleaning at the end of a tenancy. A thorough clean doesn't just tick a box — it shows respect for the property and dramatically increases your chances of a full refund.
Kitchen
- Deep clean oven, hob, and extractor fan — remove all grease and burnt-on residue
- Clean inside and outside of all cupboards and drawers
- Descale sink, taps, and any tiles
- Wipe down all appliances including microwave, fridge, and dishwasher
- Mop floors and clean skirting boards
Bathrooms
- Descale shower head, tiles, and screen
- Scrub toilet inside and out
- Polish taps and chrome fittings
- Clean mirror and any extractor fans
- Mop floor and clean grout lines
Bedrooms & Living Areas
- Clean all windows inside (and outside if accessible)
- Wipe all skirting boards and light switches
- Clean inside wardrobes and drawers
- Vacuum carpets or mop hard floors
- Remove any marks from walls
